The Xl Sloper Is Heaps Of Fun
By: David on 4 February 2026The XL Sloper is heaps of fun. The texture is somewhat grippy, yet devilishly slippery. Oriented horizontally on the 0 wall, it’s a real challenge. I find myself pinching it between the fingers and palm with my arm straight and horizontal. I find it a little easier when it’s rotated to 45 from horizontal. Would I recommend it? I have three of them. They’re wicked, but have the crash mats ready.,

Good on vertical terrain
13 May 2021I got this to try out the texture. The description of it is accurate; you have to work harder to get something out of it. Closer to outdoor climbing really. As for the shape, its a short, steep sloper bordering on a pinch. i prefer it on my vertical wall or on shallow angle changes. I tried it on a sharper angle change on a volume and found the radius to be a bit too severe.
